What a fun page to do!

My princess had her first athletics competition. The small ones run 60m. She was a little disappointed that she did not win, but I told her that princesses are usually not very fast - and that was good enough for her :D

It was the first time I ever used Echo Park papers. Its been sitting on my shelf where its been forgotten of for a while. I discovered it while looking through my stash for something that would go with this photo.

It was such a pleasant surprise to find this beautiful stack of goodies that was perfect for what I wanted to do.

It's easy doing pages with such beautiful colours and quality papers...

Ballerina

I feel so privileged to have a little ballerina. There are VERY few things in life more beautiful than a little ballerina.

Father

I made this page in memory of my husband's late father.

He died when my husband was 9 and there is at present

precious few photos of him.

When my mother-in-law gave us this picture, I was actually

quite shocked to see the resemblance between my husband

and his late father. It feels like I'm looking at my husband when looking at this photo.

But, as you can imagine, once I got the photo,

I could not wait to start a page.

It was a total surprise to my hubby, but he loved it.

And Granddad now has an honorary place on our wall

where we can see him all the time.

And you know, it honestly feels like I know him better

after doing this page and after giving him a special

place in our home....

This was also my first on only vintage page I've done, which is strange as I love anything vintage...

With the photos being so busy, I tried to do something simple
with lots of white space.

Kaapstad Naweek (Cape Town Week-end)

We had an amazing time in Cape Town.......
 even though I picked up the worst stomach bug EVER
and even though my hubby took the wrong suitcase
at the airport
I had to pack a lot of photos and stuffies into
this layout.
We had so many activities packed into one week-end
and I just had a double page layout to try and capture it all!!!
But I had LOTS of fun doing this one :)
