Gr. Een (Grade One)

This photo was taken on my daughter's first day
At her new school. She was so brave. She never
Showed any signs of distress and it felt to me
like she never looked back at me again.
(I was of course not so brave that day...)

(The title of this page might seem confusing
as "grade one" in Afrikaans looks alot like
Gr.een - GREEN in English. Its not intentional
though, but a nice coinsedence :)

Wow!!!

Wow! I have 2 followers!
Thanks Francois and Jillian! :)
I will try to put on more of my cards and other projects over the weekend.
Its funny how a little interest can spark a lot of enthusiasm, hey!
Have a wonderful day

Goofy

I just HAD to do a page on all the silly faces my little girl does.
And the patterned paper was just perfect...
She loves to use found items to 'dress up' and be Goofy.
This is then also an ideal opportunity to take photos of her - where she will pose for me willingly :)

Happy Birthday!!!

Robben Island

Cute!!!

My daughter just cant resist a box.
On this bright and sunny day,
she created a 'robot' with her find
and she and her friend entertained
themselfes (and us) for the rest of the day :)

Jy is... (You are...)

I created this page to describe my daughters beautiful personality...

The GREAT Moscow Circus

This was such a special day and we shared it with
very special friends.

Kosbaar (Precious)

This photo just had to be scrapped.
I love how my daughter's gentle and loving
personality shines through in her beautiful smile...
(Unfortunately I managed to capture a reflection
on the photo when I photographed the page)

Jou nessie (Your nest)

I made this layout to record the love my daughter has for her bed.
Her dad made the bed for her with lots of love and planning.
She loves her bed because she can play on top with her friends.
I used the design on the duvet as inspiration for the page decorations.

Cutie Pie!!!

What a happy little face! I just had to scrap it :-)

I added some journalling and the whole photo behind
the front photo

Some detail on the embelishments...

Baby Face

A very simple layout that I've done on some photos
taken of my daughter on the farm...
(They can pull the cutest faces when they are babies.)
I've used only card stock and some ribbon.
I've cut the heart from chip board, painted it pink
and dry-brushed some white paint over the pink.

Ek en my Ouma (Me and my grandmother)

This is one of the very first layouts I've made (Very monochromatic - is there such a word?) These photos are so lovely to me. My daughter and my mom share a very special bond. They are very close and the love they have for each other is just beautiful to see - just like these photos....

These photos were taken one special day, at the hospital when our dear nephew was born.
Both my mother and my daughter was dressed in purple that day. Both in different shades of purple but
purple from head to toe... They looked like a beautiful pair of plums :-)

18 June 2004

This is a double page layout about the day my daughter was born.
The most profound day of my life!
I've done some hand sewing to emphasize the birds and some leaves.
I've also made a booklet with some journaling.

Hello Hello Hello

Wow, this is great! I've started this blog quite on the spur of the moment, but I can already see that this is a bug that can bite you bad... I sincerely hope that there will be someone out there that will take the time to see what I have to say... to join me on my journey...
This is all still very new to me so please bear with me as I learn and explore the wonderful cyber-world of blogging.
